When someone snores in their sleep and changes sleeping positions and his snoring still remains, it is most likely that they have a serious snoring problem.
Most commonly known causes of snoring
A person who smokes takes in the smoke into his lungs passing through the air pathways and as a result the muscles around the air tracks and passageways tend to relax which eventually causes nasal congestion. Smoking can make the tissues vibrates and creates snoring.
Asthma, sinusitis, and colds are respiratory illnesses that can also be counted as a basic cause for a person to snore. The male gender hormones tend to be more active and restless than the female's estrogen hormones. The male hormone is one of the factors why people snore.
Controlled and uncontrolled factors of snoring
Snoring has been studied and is believed that the foods we eat have something to do with the snoring as well thus means that we should always take precautions when considering what to eat and what not to eat in our daily and normal lives.

Cut your food into tiny pieces before eating them to avoid snoring. Using smaller bowls and plates have been psychologically proven to work when dieting and is very effective. Eating consciously means, eating a smaller portion of food for every meal, if possible, cut fried foods out of your diet because fats from oils can be as harmful as well and also eat less pork and beef which can prevent snoring. Be conscious of the amount of food that you eat.
What to do when you are snoring severely?
There are several ways to do it,
By losing weight, you will feel more active and by keeping in shape it helps the body to function normally, including you air paths that can cause snoring. If you snoring is very loud especially, when it come to the point when your partner awakens in the middle of their sleep because you are snoring so loudly then there is a good chance that you have severe snoring.
If possible,every night just before going to bed, try to clear your nasal passages with nasal spray or salinase to ease stuffiness which will prevent you from snoring.
By elevating the upper part of your body, it will help your air pathways to open and to let the air pass through with no restrictions.
